I’ve been planning a conference for Student Ambassadors across the UW System. This event is held every year and it was officially UW-Eau Claire’s turn to host, so I was the one to take the reigns and do the planning for it. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
I dedicated a full eight months to planning this event. I called caterers, locations, universities, etc. Drafted and edited multiple emails, responded to multiple emails, budgeted, designed programs and various other handouts, and grew in my adaptability skills. Honestly, these were some of the toughest months of planning, but once the event was happening, all of it was worth it.
We had an amazing Keynote speaker, delicious food, great company, and learned a ton from one another. I felt like such a proud mom watching UW-Eau Claire’s Ambassadors speak about Leadership Through Shines (aka positive recognition).
When it was all over — I took a good, long nap.
There has been some news I’ve been wanting to share for a while, but I wanted to wait until I got full confirmation. *drum roll please*
I GOT A JOB!
That’s right! Look out world, Casie Kamph, young professional coming through! I am so excited to have my future (at least for two years) figured out. I’ll be working at UW-Eau Claire (my favorite place in the world) as a Marketing Specialist with the Integrated Marketing and Communications team.
Now I just need to find a place to live and hopefully a furrbaby to keep me company 🙂
