Wow, has it been a while since I last updated this blog. I suppose I could give you a list of reasons and excuses as to why I didn’t make time to write here, but who really cares about that? I do want to say though, this past semester was a lot of work with my classes and extracurriculars, so I’m proud I posted at all last semester.
Currently, I’m in Eau Claire working for the summer. I’m spending a lot of time organizing books at the bookstore and giving tours for my internship in the admissions office. Both jobs I am absolutely loving! I finally have time to work out again, so I’ve been starting that back up and the soreness feels great (painful, but great!) Summer in EC is so different than what I expected. So many of my friends have actually stayed in town as well so I’m not sitting around my house all day moping because I’m so bored and lonely — it’s actually hard to find time to just be with myself — I’m not complaining though.
I’ve been very jealous of my friend, Emma, lately. Last summer as most of you know, I had the wonderful opportunity to study abroad in England. (Peek around the blog if you want to read about my experiences there!) So this summer, you can understand my disappointment when I had no plans to go anywhere foreign. However, my lovely friend Emma, who also studied abroad with me last summer, got the opportunity to go on the trip again, this time as a mentor to the new group of students. Therefore, I’m jealous cause she’s going to all of my favorite places in the world — York, London, Harlaxton, etc.
Although I wish I was somewhere abroad like a lot of my friends, I wouldn’t trade the experiences I’m getting here in Eau Claire this summer. — I do have wanderlust though, so I need to explore very, very soon.
I promise to write again soon, I’ll make a point of it.
P.S. It’s my 21st birthday tomorrow!! — AHHHH.
